I came prepared today (hopefully!)! After a toe freezing night, i made sure I had enough layers to last the market today. As a south east Asian, I will never get used to the cold. Coming from a country which only has two "seasons", wet and dry, european Winters are a harsh affair for me. I do not look forward to winter at all! My husband knows this such that a few months before we got married, he brought me in the north tip of Sweden in the middle of December, probably to give me a look of what I would be up to when we get married 😅 . Seriously, no matter how many winters I experience, I do not think my asian skin will adjust. I am in my fleece during summers. So can you imagine my dilemma? Back to my preparation for tonight's market, i have merino, fleece, heattech and 2 layers of down jacket for the top. The bottom is 4 more layers! No wonder market exhibitors always look like a Michelin! Makes me appreciate those in the open markets the whole month leading to Christmas. I hope I was able to resolve the cold issue. Next thing I need to figure out is to move freely in this attire. Wish us luck, friends! --> any more tips to keep me warm in the next 2 days? How are you feeling at this time of the year? Are you feeling exhausted, running on empty? Are you so “busy” that you don’t have energy for anything else? ⠀ ⠀ It’s normal to feel tired; end of the year can be hectic, true. And it’s hard to be present and enjoy the moment at the best of times, especially when your energy levels are depleted. And still, there’re so many things you want to do but you don’t get to, because you’re out of energy. ⠀ ⠀ But what if it’s the other way around? If you want to have energy you just start to do things. Doesn’t have to be something daring, or the “ bucket list “ type. ⠀ ⠀ Like the other night, when I was so low in energy ( after a full work week AND nursing a cold 😬) the last thing I felt doing was sending that email to my list. But I knew I needed it..and wanted to do it... so it went. I felt such a high 😀⠀ ⠀ Or the other day when I had a do a difficult procedure, an unplanned one, after having a full day already. But was needed. ⠀ I can’t tell you how happy and energised I felt. So it made me think... what if, to gain energy, you just have to start doing?⠀ ⠀ Like me in this picture.. I was so high on life, so happy and energised, because I was doing ( and being).⠀ ⠀ Tell me, what’s the thing you could do, to bring your energy back?⠀

☺︎ . 毎日毎日忙しくて、毎日何してるんだっけ？と思ったので振り返ってみました(꒪ω꒪υ)⁼³₌₃ . 頼れるものは全て頼ってます。有難い。母、祖母、食洗機、レンジ、ロボット掃除機… . 息子のお風呂は旦那が入れる日もあれば、私と入る日もあります🛁 . 今まで毎日洗濯機回してましたが、洋服、下着系を洗う日と、タオル類を洗う日で分けて作業を楽にして、３日に１回は洗濯しない日をつくりました。 ↑今日からこのやり方導入 . 夕飯の時間と息子のミルクが重なるので毎回ごはんが冷えます🥶笑 (あるあるですよね笑) . 煮込み系の料理は時間かかるからできません← 肉じゃが系は母か祖母からもらいます← 焼くか、和えるか、お鍋、です。 . 10分〜15分、息子と遊びながら愛犬に構いながら、家事するので寝るのは2時過ぎになる事が多い。 . 息子が長いこと爆睡してくれてるからママ大助かりです！！ . 元々は会社員だったので、産休育休とる気満々だった← . 世のお母さんたち、毎日本当におつかれさまです。ワンオペされてる方とかもほんと凄い。 . 私は病院の診断で運転🆖でたのもあり、自営なのでずーっと旦那と一緒です、、笑 . 息子がもう少し大きくなって、保育園、学校、習い事始めたときは働き方改革を導入してゆっくり休めるように今は身を粉にして頑張ります😳 . 成長するとお金もかかるしね！🤑 1年間で貯めた私のコツコツ貯金で今度車買います。ゼロになる。💰最悪。笑 . 育児手当には手をつけず息子の将来に使おうと思います☺️ . けど息子が生まれて、大変なこともあるけど幸せだー🥰 igで皆さんのお子さんも同じように成長する姿を見るのが癒しの時間🥰 かわいくてたまんない☺️💓 #男の子ママ #nicu #nicu卒業生 #workingmama #働くママ #6ヶ月ベビー

while I’ve talked about setting boundaries and working on saying no more often, the last few months I’ve said yes. yes yes yes. I’ve put myself out there. I’ve showed up at all the things. And I’ve hosted more events than i typically do within a few weeks time. I’ve asked for and accepted more help with my kids. for me it’s been important to get out, meet people and explore this new town with my family but also independent of them and as carly. often when I go go go I look back feeling exhausted and ask “why did I do that?” but this time it feels different. I am tired. But every gathering of women, charity event, mommy group and play date filled my many cups. it’s funny because as I write this, i realize it was the no’s to other things (like accepting new clients, working during every single nap time, staying up too late and and and) that created space for me to put my energy elsewhere for a bit. next season will look completely different, and that’s the thing. the way I manage my energy shifts over time. paying attention to what I need in the moment is important. and while I didn’t expect this season to look the way it does, it feels pretty good. ready to sit back and just enjoy the holidays🎄and all the magic of these little people✨ #ramblings #joyfulmama . . . . . #motherhoodinspired #motherhoodrising #honestmotherhood #workingmom #workingmama #mamapreneur #entrepreneurlife #twinmom #magicofmotherhood

Happy December! Here is today's Christmas Tradition from around the world!🎄🌎 * * * In Haiti on Christmas Eve, children will place their clean shoes, filled with straw under the tree on the porch. They hope that Santa will take the straw out and replace it with presents in and around the shoes. Houses will be open and have all the lights on until about 3am! Children are allowed to go out and wander about. The older kids are expected to look after the younger ones. After Midnight Mass, families will start their main Christmas meal in the early hours of Christmas morning and it will last until dawn. Christmas Day usually involves a lot of sleeping. Yesterday was December 12th 2020. A fairly insignificant date for many and significant for many others for many different reasons. For me and my family it’s a significant date. It’s my nephews birthday. Although Dylan grew his angel wings in 2008, yesterday was his 13th birthday. After a week of seeing my son graduate from primary school, have transition at high school, receive sporting achievement medals and hand down the house captain from him to my daughter, I am super proud of my children. My son will be turning 13 in February next year. It’s the big occasions that make me happy, yet sad as an aunty who lost her nephew. I’m happy my son has graduated from primary school. I’m sad my nephew never will. I’m happy my son is starting secondary school. I’m sad my nephew never will. I’m happy my son will soon get to celebrate his 13th birthday. I’m sad my nephew didn’t. I could go on, but I won’t. For nearly 6-years I have been building Little Rockers Radio, hustling to get it somewhere so I can make a difference. For 5-years we have been running the Little Rockers Red Nose Disco in conjunction with Red Nose Australia. To date the disco has helped raise well over $150,000. I know I share a lot. I do it for Dylan. I do it so hopefully in the future no family has to go through what ours did. So, in 2020 if you work in early learning, if you work in a workplace that wants to host a fun adult disco, if you are a kinder teacher, if your kids go to kinder or pre-school or play group, please consider taking part in the Little Rockers Red Nose Disco. THIS IS THE STORY OF MY LIFE RIGHT NOW! 😂 But here’s why it’s ok...⠀ ⠀ I love the Christmas season. But it’s also a very full time of year. ⠀ ⠀ My schedule and my time - and as a result, me - are being pushed to maximal capacity. ⠀ ⠀ Here’s why it’s ok:⠀ ⠀ - I recognize I cannot do it all. I have too much on my plate in an effort to transition through delegation and offloading. Where can you do this in your life? ⠀ ⠀ - I’m saying eff it to my to do list many nights and just going to bed. The world hasn’t ended yet. ⠀ ⠀ - I refuse to compromise my nutrition and support my body with supplements so it can better handle the stress I’m under⠀ ⠀ And most of all... I have almost two beautiful weeks that will be full of the most important thing - time with the people I love the most. ⠀ ⠀ That’s why we’re doing this thing called life, right? ⠀ ⠀ Remember that, if nothing else. 😉⠀ ⠀ Oh and mommy and menopause brain really is a thing.
