The Thaw . "The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep." - Robert Frost . I can feel the chill and coldness in this image. The moment seemed quite right for an abstraction session out in the field. This is a study on impressionistic artists that I am very fond of. Painting is an art form I have tried from time to time, however found the immediate satisfaction of the digital camera to be more of my speed. Now I paint with the natural light. . The beauty in an image such as this is how much remains of reality. Some creative blurs I have done are so far removed from their roots that the subject isn't what I really saw. This one shows the deep woods with the implied tree trunks moving up and down. The blue and "cooler" color tones imply a colder time of the year, as it really was. 🇬🇧 this actually isn't the braies lake, instead this is the road we traveled to go back home after the visit, on Thursday 25 April. 🏔️ ️ and along that road, @davidefogacci absolutely wanted to stop to photograph these piles of wood, surrounded by the green woods, waiting for one of those orange trucks to pass by in order to give context to his shot. 🌲 what, more than that, could make me fall in love with you?
