For months, I have been planning every detail of our New Zealand adventures... I researched hotels, transportation, excursions, restaurants and even the weather. The ONE THING I didn’t do was investigate about visitor visas, which we found out we needed when we checked in (aka 2 HOURS BEFORE our first flight)! I panicked. I was about to have a breakdown because I thought we were undoubtedly screwed and not making it here. .

I owe everything about our fabulous first day to @americanair agent Kim working in @phl_airport yesterday. She could of easily told us, “You need a Visa or you can’t check in, and left us there totally stuck.” But she didn’t. Instead, she reassured us we weren’t doomed, helped us download the app on sight and apply for our visas. Then, she literally called New Zealand to get the approval expedited and the info needed to check us into the flight. .

WE MADE IT ✈️ 🌏 But seriously, yesterday I pulled on of the worst travel faux paux’s 😳 . _ For months, I have been planning every detail of our New Zealand adventures... I researched hotels, transportation, excursions, restaurants and even the weather. The ONE THING I didn’t do was investigate about visitor visas, which we found out we needed when we checked in (aka 2 HOURS BEFORE our first flight)! I panicked. I was about to have a breakdown because I thought we were undoubtedly screwed and not making it here. . _ I owe everything about our fabulous first day to @americanair agent Kim working in @phl_airport yesterday. She could of easily told us, “You need a Visa or you can’t check in, and left us there totally stuck.” But she didn’t. Instead, she reassured us we weren’t doomed, helped us download the app on sight and apply for our visas. Then, she literally called New Zealand to get the approval expedited and the info needed to check us into the flight. . _ She went above and beyond her job requirements, which goes to show you there are always good willing to help 🙌🏼 And for anyone traveling to New Zealand, don’t forget to grab your #visa 🙏🏻 #newzeland #madeit #traveldisasteraverted #thankyouamerican #andkimatphlaeast
