Meal prep for the week done!! I know I said last week I would be having turkey soup this week😔. BUT when your child makes corn chowder that nobody likes, well you eat it bc you know I do t like wasn’t money So.... Breakfast and morning snack....superfood shake (as I drink slow these days) Lunch......corn chowder and a bit of salad (spinach, tomatoes, avocado and a splash of Italian dressing) Afternoon snack...banana for two days and healthy snack bar for three days And then there’s dinner.....evening snack but you will have to wait for those, if I don’t forget to post them as I put them in my private groups😊
Today I am so thankful for Showers. Friends who love us and give us food. Pumps and bottles. . Baby girl is still rejecting nursing, so I have been pumping and giving bottles. (Thank you, Similac samples.) I'm not sure if she's tongue tied or has nipple aversion. I keep reminding myself that every baby is different, and as long as she's eating and healthy it's a win. It's a mental struggle for sure... especially after successfully bf 4 others with no problems. But we are working on it, and not giving up. 💪 I will say, other than trouble nursing, she is one of the best babies! ♥️♥️♥️

Zeit zu zweit kommt eindeutig zu kurz wir sind nie alleine irgendwie aber das haben wir uns selber so ausgesucht würden manche nun schimpfen . Natürlich wollten wir Familie und haben uns bewusst für Patchwork entschieden . Aber manchmal fehlen ein paar Stunden von Zweisamkeit um zu reden ,um Nähe zu spüren und mal nur wir zusein . Nur wie gehen wir als paar damit um und da schreibe ich bewusst nicht Eltern weil dies ist unser Hauptjob 24h 7 Tagelang . Wir versuchen freie Minuten mit kurzen Gesprächen nicht zu vergessen. Oder wenn es nur das Händchen halten ist wärend die Kinder neben uns mittagsschlaf machen und wir völlig erschöpft mit einschlafen. Oder die kurze Berührung über den Rücken, die lieben Worte per Whatsapp wärend ich in der Schule bin. Nur immer hat man das Gefühl mehr kann es nicht werden weil unser Alltag das nicht zulässt . Wie macht ihr das ? Friends, I’m not gloating, but I just want to share how excited we are to have a more spacious vehicle!! Many of you know we’ve been crammed into a 2006 Honda Pilot, and for a family of 7, it’s been tight.... In fact, when we told our kids we were pregnant🤰 , 2 of them were very concerned about the vehicle 🚗 situation! ....about a year and a half ago, we went through financial peace ✌️ university with Dave Ramsey through our church (taught by Robyn Jones and hubby). It was the best blessing for us!! We were saving nothing at that time and spending everything! FPU taught us to budget and save and to pay for purchases with cash 💰 . We saved enough to almost go loan free for this vehicle 🚗 and trust me the loan we took will be gone ASAP! And honestly, if we didn’t have a baby 👶🏼 coming, we would have waited until we could have paid the entire cost up front. I’m telling you this because Financial peace ✌️ University is life changing! We wish we would have done it when first married! Make your young adult children do it! You do it! I don’t care how old you are!! We’ve said over and over how freeing it is to make purchases and know that you can pay guilt free; we aren’t worried about how or if the money 💴 is going to show up. Anyway, we’re feeling very blessed and happy 😃 to have space in our vehicle. I remember it well. It lasted for well over a decade.That’s what happens when you have a lot of kids, every 3 years 😉 That “I hear the school bus coming, shake off the cobwebs, and get game face on” feeling. I ❤️my kids, every ounce of every single one of them. But I was exhausted. And the sad thing was, I thought that was normal. It’s not. #newsflash My tank was empty, all the time, until I started learning about blood sugars and how that afternoon crash wasn’t about being tired or “mom life”. It was about the spike and the drop of glucose levels. It’s about unbalanced blood sugar and how our sleep, our energy levels, our mood are ALL effected by unbalanced blood sugars. I found something I can do every. single. day to balance my blood sugar. Insert pink drink. 💗 And you can be sure I never miss. In doing so my energy levels went through the roof, my mood was stable, and guess what...????... I said see ya 👋🏻 to “I need a nap” and “uh-oh there’s the bus” and hello to a better version of me. Setting boundaries with my kids is by far the hardest thing in #parenting. Mainly because I have to stay consistent and stick to my word even when I’m tired, run down, or even just want to spoil them. .. .. Lately we have been working on some big things in our house and my kids are NOT happy about the changes: less snacks, more personal responsibility, and delaying instant gratification. .. .. I’ve realized in having 2 more little vocal opinions (twins) that I need to start teaching them accountability and responsibility. Not going to lie when all five of them have been together on the weekends it’s been a bit of chaos. Not getting along, not sharing, when I ask them to do something I get a “no” and tantrum crying. But with growth and change comes with some discomfort. I would say we are basking in the uncomfortable, frustrated, and pissed off stage (☝️).
