For the past few months life has been flipped upside down. There is a “war on COVID”. People have lost their jobs, loved ones are in hospitals, new moms are in isolation without support. These 3 months have been like nothing we have ever experienced. During all the chaos the underlying message that God has been speaking to me is “Be Still”. Psalm 46 talks about how God is our refuge and strength. He is always ready to help in times of trouble. It concludes in verse 10-11 by saying “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honoured by every nation. I will be honoured throughout the world. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress”. When your heart is anxious, when worry continues to creep in, when the job is uncertain, when people wrongfully hurt you, when the tasks of motherhood seem daunting and mundane- Remind your soul to “Be Still”.
