Central and South America, Here We Come! 😎 ⠀⠀ It’s official. We have already started planning our next big adventure to Mexico and Central and South America in the Spring. We will be beginning and ending our trip in Mexico, working our way all the way down to Patagonia and back! 😲 ⠀⠀ This trip is going to be quite the adventure, and will include a variety of climates, as it will be Fall-Winter in South America and Spring-Summer in Central America! (Packing for 5 months in our backpacks should be interesting this time!) 😄 ⠀⠀ Here is a rough outline of the route we’re planning. We would love some feedback if any of you have experience and suggestions for these areas or others that aren’t listed that we should hit! 29/11/19 I walk straight out the hostel in the morning and that's my view 🔺 But it's not that. It's the sights around you. The smell of what I can only describe as Cairo. The fresh cut grass for the animals. The animals themselves. The smell of sand in the air, but its not unpleasant. Theres people getting horses 🐴 , camels 🐫 ready, hooving them, packing them full of grass, the grunts, the yawns, its exciting just to walk amongst it. Overloaded trucks, of everything arrive from all over, who knows where from, and you walk through the middle of it all. There's a sense of readiness in the air for another busy day ahead as deliveries and transports all arrive and deliver. Tuk tuks, carriages, quads. I get offered the lot. But I want to use my legs, walk slow and take it all in. I see no animal cruelty. So the walk is pleasant and peaceful amongst a calming chaos. It's the warmth at 9am. It's the uniqueness of it all. And it's those beautiful triangles a 5 minute walk round the corner, behind a fence I shall soon be in. It's hard to describe all of the senses hitting you all at once when last night you were in cold Europe, but my senses are widened, all of them. And I havent done anything but walk yet. And no matter how much you try and hide from them, the pyramids appear over every building. They're too old to be playing hide and seek with you.
